Conversations with Adrienne
Adrienne: That story with the waiter and the check really bothers me.
Aaron: You mean Single Bill?
Adrienne: Yeah, you'd never do that. Would you?
Aaron: I don’t know, obviously not with you but I don’t think its so bad.
Adrienne: You don’t?
Aaron: No. I think it’s funny.
Adrienne: It’s lying. He’s a coward. Why not just take the check and tell her you need help paying the bill. What’s wrong with that?
Aaron: Nothing. But why is it assumed that a woman shouldn’t pay. Why should he even have to ask for help? Shouldn’t she assume responsibility for her half?
Adrienne: Of course but that’s not the issue I’m talking about telling a waiter to bring the check back because you don’t have the balls to say moneys tight is bullshit.
Aaron: Yeah, I guess your right but that’s what makes it so funny.
Adrienne: Not to me.

Single Bill
Showering at the gym:
Single Bill: What are you doing?
Aaron: What?
Bill: Is that how you take off your clothes?
Aaron: Yeah, why?
Bill: You go: shirt, shoes, shorts, underwear, socks. Tell me you don't do that in front of Adrienne.
Aaron: I guess. Why, how should I?
Bill: You never let a woman see your legs with just socks. Never. It goes: shoes, socks, shirt, pants then underwear.

J Train
My friend Paul just moved to Brooklyn. His new place is huge and over looks the city and when I first saw it I was pissed. It took me over 30 minutes to get there. Paul's old place was just a 10 minute walk through China Town. When I was bored I would call or just take the walk to see him. We'd meet at the bar below his apartment and talk about nothing or if there was smoke, everthing. When I saw how beautiful his new place was I was pissed because I knew I'd lost the convience of our relationship.

Take 3
I was out for drinks with friends when I saw a couple making out at end of the bar. Something about her struck my interest and I began staring at them (I do this a lot). My male friend noticed and asked what I was looking at. I asked him if he noticed anything weird about the kissing couple. He looked over. "It's the girl." I said. "She just isn't in to him." He agreed pretending to be her he added, "He'll do." We asked another friend for the female version. She watched for awhile, smiled and said, "She just wants to feel good." We had three different takes on the same conclusion.

Indecent Proposal
This event happened almost a year ago today.
I was standing in my girlfriend’s bedroom staring into a wooden box when it became clear, my girlfriend had great sex with someone Famous. Who is “Famous”? It’s not important. I don't care if “Famous” is considered a sex symbol. I don't care if “Famous” has washboard abs. And, I certainly don't care about “Famous” struggle transitioning from modeling to acting. What I do care about is how he came into my world and reminded me of an awful dating truth. I am replaceable.
Her acting teacher introduced them. She was asked to help out because “Famous” needed help becoming a believable cowboy. Who better to help him feel more like a real man than my girlfriend. I know they've talk on the phone; he showed up at her work twice; and I also know he gave her a foot massage during one of their sessions. I know all of this because she told me. She’s cool like that. She feels by keeping me in the loop I'll be less jealous and she's right; however, there's one piece of evidence we have not discussed, the open box by her bed. I'm intimately acquainted with this box. When we started dating I was in the box every night sometimes more than once. As our relationship grew we decided we didn’t need to open the box and it remained closed until now.
Today
I didn’t mention the open box for months. I figured if she stayed after experiencing “Famous,” it was a compliment to me and practice for the future. The replaceable truth of dating an actress is you must share her and hopefully she'll come back.

Conversations with Adrienne
Adrienne and I had plans to see a movie. When I arrived at her apartment she was comfortably watching TV with her roommate Kay.
Aaron: Would you still like to go to the movies tonight?
Adrienne: Yeah, but we could just stay in as well.
Aaron: If you're still not feeling well we could definately stay in.
Adrienne: I don't know though I would like to go out. I haven't been out all day.
Aaron: Kay, could you use your female intuition and tell me what she wants to do.
Kay: She wants to go out. She just would like you to want to stay in with her as well. Once you agreed to stay in she wanted to go out.
Adrienne: Yeah.
Aaron: Of course.

Single Bill
Single Bill: When I see a couple I always wonder who's settling... for someone they can see right through.
Aaron: How can you tell.
Bill: It's the one with no lust in their eyes.
Aaron: Whats more important trust or lust?
Bill: I don't believe a true man ever trust so to answer your question, lust. It's what drives a man. We either lust or not, but we never trust. What you consider trust is actually a lack of lust. I would argue every woman you have ever trusted you could've left no problem.
Aaron: There's something wrong with you.
Bill: (Sarcastically) Oh yeah, there's something wrong with me.
